Your message

For a problem, tell us what you did, what you expected and what happened, plus your browser and device.

We use your details only to reply, never add you to a mailing list and delete messages within 12 months. Please don’t include bank details or passwords. See our Privacy Policy.

Before you write

Can you see my budget numbers?

No. The calculator runs in your browser and never sends your numbers to us. That also means we can’t look at your budget to help, so please describe the problem in your message instead.

My numbers disappeared. Can you restore them?

We don’t have a copy, so we can’t. They’re saved in the browser you used, so check you’re on the same device and browser, outside a private window. Use Download backup on the History tab to keep a copy in future.

How do I delete my data?

In the calculator choose Edit my numbers → Start over → Delete everything, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings.

Can you give me personal financial advice?

Sorry, we can’t. The tool is for general education only. For advice about your situation, speak to a qualified financial adviser or a free debt advice service.

Why does the site show ads?

Ads keep the calculator free. You can turn off personalised ads at any time. See ads and cookies.
